I am a self-taught painter, and my artistic journey began in early childhood. In 2017, I made the pivotal decision to embrace my passion for art more formally. Originally from China, I immigrated to the United States in my early 20s, and my experiences of separation from family have profoundly influenced my work. This distance has heightened my awareness of the importance of cherishing moments with loved ones.

My paintings are characterized by the vibrant interplay of bright, intense colors, meticulously capturing the essence of cherished memories. I draw inspiration from the vividness of nature, culture, and the emotional nuances of human relationships. Primarily working with oil paints, I seek to immortalize fleeting yet precious moments, serving as poignant reminders of the beauty inherent in life’s everyday experiences.

“Life is fleeting, and the moments we share with loved ones are what truly matter. While we may not be remembered forever, it is essential to cherish and immortalize the experiences that shape us. My paintings serve as reminders of these precious moments, capturing the beauty of life’s transient nature.”

In many of my works, I intentionally omit facial features to foster a deeper connection with the audience. This invites viewers to engage more actively with the artwork, prompting personal reflection and allowing them to project their own narratives onto the canvas. By transforming my vibrant compositions into mirrors of individual memories and emotions, I aim to create an interactive experience that enriches the viewer’s journey and cultivates a shared sense of humanity.
